When Should I Schedule My Child’s First Visit to the Dentist?
As recommended by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Dr. Sjostrom encourages you to schedule your child’s first dental exam within 6 months of the eruption of the first tooth or when your child has reached 12 months of age. Regular dental visits should then be scheduled every 6 months.
