Cut or Bitten Tongue, Lip or Cheek
Apply cold compresses to the injured tongue, lip or cheek to help control swelling. If bleeding occurs, apply firm but gentle pressure with gauze or a cloth. If bleeding cannot be controlled with simple pressure, call your child’s pediatrician or visit the hospital emergency room.
